1944 CCKW 353 H1 (tipper)
that has undergone a 16 year bare metal nut and bolt ground up restoration, it’s by far the cleanest truck I’ve seen that is on the road.
The truck is fully operational and legally on the road with standard uk car license.
The truck is currently receiving a full engine rebuild soon to be completed and will be sold finished and fully running.
Truck served with 1st Army 267th Engineers (battle of bulge/remagen bridge) finishing ww2 in Prague, then stayed in Germany to help rebuild post war, then French army, Norwegian army and finally nato reserve being released from service in 1996 ( hence the Norwegian treads)
Comes with loads of equipment (see pic) and rare parts: engineers A frame, front vice, pioneer tools, 6 Jerry cans, cold box, stretcher, 4 PSP trackways, baseball and bat (part of 276 history), dual front wheels, gun racks, information board for shows, full wet weather canvas doors, full hoop/stick kit. Both TM manuals and more
Very very rare original rear bayonet connection lights, the under seat spares box again rare. Also has winter engine oil unfreezing tank (I’ve never seen one on another gmc apart from in the TM manual, original genuine ww2 air raid siren and many more bits.
Truly amazing condition, I doubt you will find another on the market in this condition!!
Seats have been finished in brushed leather rather than canvas, easily changed back to canvas.
Stainless steel fixings everywhere that’s possible, and lots of copper slip to aid future maintenance.
Period correct rev counter added and additional switches for hidden indications etc
Please contact for further information and you tube videos of the truck.
